At Western Ky Birth Services, we are committed to providing expectant parents with the resources and support they need to have a healthy pregnancy, a safe delivery, and a happy, thriving baby. Our mission is to empower parents to make informed choices and to create a community where they can connect and learn from each other.
I’m Emma, a busy mom of five amazing children, and wife to Tyler, a firefighter with the City of Owensboro. We recently embarked on a new adventure by starting our own homestead, raising a variety of animals, and embracing a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Between homeschooling, tending to our farm, and caring for my family, life is always full, but it’s a joy!
I’ve always had a deep passion for lifelong learning and everything related to family and natural living. In 2018, I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Studies, concentrating on Family Studies. But my journey didn’t stop there—2019 brought new inspiration as I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Homeopathic Practice. That path led me to further specialize in helping women during pregnancy and postpartum, which became even more meaningful to me during my own pregnancy.
In that time, I developed a deep love and appreciation for the placenta and became certified in placenta encapsulation. As I continued to grow in my practice, I felt a strong calling to support women in their childbirth and postpartum experiences, so I’m currently working toward certifications through Lamaze as a Childbirth Educator and DONA as a Postpartum Doula.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with women during one of the most transformative and vulnerable times in life—pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period—and I’m honored to be a guide and support during this once-in-a-lifetime journey. My goal is to offer compassionate, holistic care, and to help you feel empowered, informed, and supported throughout it all.
I’m Anne, a proud mother of six wonderful grown children (including my amazing daughter, Emma <3), and a grandmother to thirteen! I feel so blessed to be part of such a large, loving family, and I’m excited to share a little bit about my journey with you.
For the past 19 years, I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist, and for the last 5 years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a Birth Doula, supporting families as they bring new life into the world. My heart for teaching has always been a big part of who I am, and although I left my teaching career as a middle school educator many years ago, my passion for guiding others has only grown. Now, I focus on empowering expecting moms and dads (and other grandmas, too!) with the knowledge, confidence, and support they need during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. I’m also currently working toward my Lamaze certification as a Childbirth Educator, so I can continue to offer the best education and care possible.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me outside—whether in a garden, hanging out in a barn (it doesn’t always have to be mine!), or enjoying precious time with my children and grandchildren. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I consider it a privilege to help guide others as they embark on their own journeys of parenthood.
I’m so excited to connect with you, whether you're expecting your first baby, preparing for another, or looking to learn more about birth and postpartum care. I’m here to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered as you navigate this beautiful and life-changing experience.
